Javascript that shows an internal image
RoboAuthor manages automatically all kinds of links and images. In case you want to write portions of custom code, it is often useful to refer to internal objects within your code. You can handle this by placing “dynamic references”, visually. In other words, you simply tell RoboAuthor where to place the name of an image or of a link in the code, and that name will be inserted on-the-fly, when the HTML pages are actually generated. This way, the reference is always up to date, avoiding the need of manual maintenance of the script.
It is possible to place dynamic references to internal objects in any Javascript portion. In the following example we place a reference to this image:

To see / modify the Javascript, use right mouse button, and “Properties”. "Insert >Script Java/VB >Within text" to insert another script.
If you choose “Properties” to see the script, you will see an icon in the script text. This icon means a reference to an internal image. You can select/ change/ add the image visually, with a double click.
To see the current page working, you need to export in Html, or to use "Publish >Browser preview".
